Dr. Jitendra Singh Unveils IGMS 2.0 and Assorted Initiatives

Initiatives include the launch of the IGMS 2.0 Public Grievance portal and the Automated Analysis in Tree Dashboard portal of the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG).
IGMS 2.0, developed in collaboration with IIT Kanpur, integrates Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities into DARPG's CPGRAMS portal. It offers real-time analysis of grievances filed and resolved, categorizing data by state, district, and ministry. Additionally, it aids in identifying the root causes of grievances.
The CPGRAMS portal receives nearly 20 lakh grievances annually, making manual classification and monitoring challenging. IGMS will streamline the process by creating draft letters for selected schemes or ministries, expediting grievance resolution.
Dr. Jitendra Singh emphasized the importance of grievance redressal for government accountability and citizen-centric governance, a priority consistently highlighted by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
The CPGRAMS portal is now available in 22 Scheduled languages, making it accessible to a broader audience. The integration of State PG portals and other government portals with CPGRAMS is also encouraged.
Reforms undertaken by DARPG have led to a significant reduction in the average disposal time for public grievances by Central Ministries & Departments, dropping from 32 days in 2021 to 18 days in 2023.
During the visit to DARPG Office, Dr. Jitendra Singh launched the Swachhata Special Campaign 3.0, focusing on field/offices responsible for service delivery and public interface. The campaign aims to continue the successful efforts of the previous Swachhata campaigns.
The Precedent Book (e-book) prepared by the Department was also released during the event.
DARPG was lauded for achieving a paperless office environment through the eOffice portal. Close to 90 lakh square feet of prime office space was cleared during the last two Swachhata campaigns, generating revenue from scrap disposal.
Special Campaign 3.0, starting on October 2, 2023, will emphasize the importance of cleanliness, service delivery, and public interface. It follows the successful campaigns of the previous years.
Dr. Jitendra Singh highlighted that the Swachhata campaign has transformed into a Jan Andolan (people's movement), and the DARPG has compiled 300 Best Practices for implementation across government ministries and departments.
DARPG is the nodal department responsible for the implementation of Special Campaign 3.0, with guidelines issued by the Cabinet Secretary on August 25, 2023.
